This light-hearted but intellectually fulfilling quiz is coming to the University of Aberdeen.
Every week, at a different University, "The 3rd Degree" pits a team of three Students against three of their Lecturers, all hosted by Steve Punt of Horrible Histories and The Now Show.
The rounds vary between Specialist Knowledge and General Knowledge, quickfire bell-and-buzzer rounds and ‘Highbrow and Lowbrow’.
Which of the students will turn out to be complete trivia-boffins? Will the Lecturers reveal they know more about Beyoncé than Barthes?
The show is produced by David Tyler for Pozzitive Television Ltd for BBC Radio 4; whose various producing and directing credits range from 'Spitting Image' and 'Not The Nine O'Clock News' via 'French & Saunders’ right through to 'Little Britain'
