The United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) finish at the end of 2015. So what is the future of sustainable development in sub-Saharan Africa? The event will give examples of success and the challenges faced in achieving the MDGs.
This panel organised by the Centre for Sustainable International Development (CSID) will look at progress made towards sustainable development in sub-Saharan Africa to date and outline the global universal agenda proposed for 2016 to 2030. The panellists are: Sir Malcolm Bruce (former chair of the UK Select Committee on International Development), Pamela Abbott and Hilary Homans both of CSID. The session will also provide an insight into the FREE six week massive on-line open access course ‘Africa: Sustainable Development for All?’ due to start on 22nd June.
