Civil Society as a New Paradigm for Democratic Politics in Zimbabwe

Dr Kaulem obtained his PhD on 'Morality and the Construction of Social Orders in African Modernity' from the University of Zimbabwe.  Since 2001 he has been working as the Regional Co-ordinator for African Forum for Catholic Social Teaching (AFCAST) in Harare, Zimbabwe.  In this role he has have been working on issues of good governance, development, aid effectiveness and the role of the church in society and has published articles in Africa, France, Germany and the United States of America.  Dr Kaulem is also Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Aberdeen Centre for Sustainable International Development.
