ACREEF Workshop held on 24th May 2024
The Aberdeen Centre for Research in Energy Economics and Finance (ACREEF) hosted its Advancements in Energy, Environmental, and Development Economics Workshop at the Sir Duncan Rice Library. The event brought together researchers from leading Scottish universities — including Aberdeen, Dundee, St Andrews, and Edinburgh — alongside an international keynote speaker, Prof. Subhrendu Pattnayak of Duke University, who spoke on the relationship between conservation and energy sustainable development goals in the Hindukush Himalayas. Presentations spanned a wide range of topics, from green foreign investment and firm pollution in China, to solar panel impacts on electricity consumption and the growth of the UK electric vehicle market. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Scottish Economic Society for their generous grant in support of this workshop.
