Centre for Labour Market Research

Our commitment in the Centre for Labour Market Research (CeLMR) is to carry out impactful and relevant research focusing on key global societal, labour market, and health challenges of the 21st century. CeLMR was established in January 2000 (formally known as Centre for European Labour Market Research) in order to provide a focus, build and enhance on our long-standing expertise in labour market research. The strategy of CeLMR is designed to produce high quality research output, generate research income and provide impactful research that will contribute to the broader School and University engagement strategy and potentially lead to REF Impact Case studies.

CeLMR fosters both disciplinary and interdisciplinary collaborations that aim to address the multidimensional mechanisms through which socio-economic conditions impact labour market, health and wellbeing outcomes. For our research to be relevant we actively engage with the wider society and stakeholders locally, nationally and internationally to shape new research directions in labour economics, health economics and human resource management and inform relevant policy debates. Through the sponsorship of research seminars and conferences, PhD workshops and student prizes, CeLMR encourages the development of cutting-edge research by both staff members and students, engaging with academics and practitioners.

We welcome collaborations from within the School, the wider University and externally.
