Abstract:

“We use a UK childhood microsimulation model to estimate the public costs and wellbeing losses of six early year disadvantages, teenage pregnancy, preterm birth, low birth weight, low height, limiting condition and delayed school readiness. Using administrative data for Bradford specifically we estimate the current effects of these disadvantages on the Bradford population.”
