The event will be a roundtable discussion with a number of Industry professionals and Academics.  Our attending Speakers are: Rex Gu, Head of Finance, European Region’, Maersk Group; Yingli Liza Wu, General Manager, Wrist Ships SupplySteve Pearce, Interim HoS, Aberdeen (Qatar)Steve Pearce is a Senior Lecturer in Management and experienced senior director. His career has spanned engineering, financial services, central government (UK) and now higher education. Steve has been responsible for developing business strategy, senior leadership development and change management plans for large UK and International businesses. He is currently based at the University of Aberdeen’s campus in Qatar.

 

Rex Gu is currently based in Copenhagen as Head of Finance, Europe Region, Logistics at A.P. Moller – Maersk. Since joining Maersk as a management trainee, Rex has accumulated an international career spanning Hong Kong, Australia, Russia, Finland, the Baltics, Denmark and Mainland China. He is Fellow of CPA Australia, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and also current Chair for AICPA’s Thought Leadership and Business Ethics committee.

 

Yingli (Liza) Wu  has nearly 20 years of experience in all aspects of international business, with proven skills in set up and grow business in China for foreign companies. She is currently General Manager for Wrist Ship Supply China and the Director of New Building Ship sector for Wrist Group. She has worked in China, Denmark, U.K. Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Taiwan. She was the award winner for “Entrepreneur of the Year” award in 2019 in recognition to her outstanding contribution to the Danish Business Community in China. She is a mother of 3 children, currently living in Copenhagen with her husband and two boys
