At around 8.30am this morning a significant fault was discovered at the heating and power plant for the Old Aberdeen campus.
This fault means that heating and hot water to most buildings at the Old Aberdeen campus will start to drop, leading to low temperatures across campus in those buildings.
The Estates and Faculties team is urgently investigating the source of the fault and we will provide another update as soon as possible.
UPDATE:
Further to our earlier message about a heating and hot water problem at Old Aberdeen, we can now advise that the issue has been resolved, and heating and hot water have been restored to affected buildings.
The Estates and Facilities Team responded as soon as the fault was identified and worked hard to rectify the issue as quickly as possible.
