In July 2022, the Scottish Government intends to introduce a Deposit Return Scheme which will see consumers pay a deposit for single-use plastic, glass and canned drinks containers.
All bodies that sell these, including the University, are expected to participate. We've teamed up with one of our MSc Environmental Partnership Management students to undertake some research on the University community's attitude towards the scheme and on recycling issues more generally.
