Dr Sara Jane MacLennan, Psycho-oncologist and Deputy Director of the Institute of Applied Health Sciences, has been invited by the Dr Sara Jane MacLennan, Psycho-oncologist and Deputy Director of the Institute of Applied Health Sciences has been invited by the European Cancer Organisation to sit on their new Steering Committee for Survivorship and Quality of Life. Following the publication of Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan, the European Cancer Organisation have initiated this Committee to guide the Organisation’s responses to challenges and opportunities for improving quality of life for all cancer survivors, bring about strong collaboration between professions and patients on this crucial aspect of cancer care and maximise opportunities to improve and deliver the Plan for cancer patients and survivors. In recognition of her sustained international reputation in psycho-oncology, Dr MacLennan will be the UK Academic within this Committee.
