Employability Boost Award virtual programme

Aberdeen Employability Boost AwardThe employability boost award programme was initiated in May 2020. Different resources and online sessions with advisers, and sector representative were scheduled over the month for students and graduates. You can still access the different resources until the next programme date is announced in October 2020

Leadership Academy

Leadership AcademyThe first round of the Leadership Academy at Qatar Campus was conducted in January 2020. With the participation of different workshop facilitators and providers from Aberdeen University, Injaz Qatar, and QU entrepreneurship centre. 

Details on the next session for the leadership academy will be announced soon.

STAR Award

STAR awardThe STAR Award programme will be introduced to students at Qatar Campus from next academic year 2020-2021. 

The STAR (Students Taking Active Roles) Award allows students to assess, enhance and gain recognition for the skills you develop through approved roles on campus.

Career Mentoring

Career MentoringAs an undergraduate student at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen, you can register as a mentee in this programme and benefit from regular sessions with an experienced professional to gain one-to-one careers advice, support and guidance in a specific profession and/or sector. The programme will run over 6 months from November to April.

Internship and OpportunitiesStudents are encouraged to look for opportunities for work experience and internship. Although it is not an academic requirement, it is a great opportunity to develop skills and gain a better understanding of the work environment. 

The Careers and Employability Service announces different opportunities throughout the academic year to students interested in applying for on-campus or off-campus placements.
