The Department of Computing Science has a long-standing reputation in Intelligent Systems, with world recognised expertise in areas such as multi-agent systems, natural language generation, knowledge graph and semantic web.
Research activity in computing science at Aberdeen is internationally recognised, with the department ranked 16th in the UK for research intensity in the last REF, and 70% of our research publications classified as "internationally leading" or "internationally excellent”. The department has a wide portfolio of externally funded projects.
