The Sir Duncan Rice Library is delighted to be hosting this year's CILIP Rare Books & Special Collections Group's conference for all professionals involved in the curatorship of special collections.

The conference will explore issues relating to how special collections are accommodated. Themes will include:

  • Building new libraries - with The Sir Duncan Rice Library and other case studies
  • Adapting historic buildings for modern usage
  • Making the most of what we have: practical tips for smaller projects and lower budgets
  • Building for safety and preservation: formal and informal advice on how best to protect special collections.

More information and booking forms can be found via the Group’s webpage on CILIP’s website: http://bit.ly/1hpAo9i

The Group is pleased to offer bursary places to students and new professionals; more information about these can also be found at the link above.
