Professor Alison Lumsden discusses Scott's association with song, as it is explored in a new online exhibition.

Join UoA Collections and Professor Alison Lumsden for this week's Collections Conversation. Alison will introduce us to the lesser-known Scott revealed in the new exhibition, Walter Scott and Song Retuning the Harp of the North, part of a Scotland-wide year long celebration of 250 years of Scott. A man who was fascinated by folklore, traditional songs and ballads, and whose poetry inspired popular music, Italian opera and theatrical productions for generations to come.

Speaker

Professor Alison Lumsden, Director of the Walter Scott Research Centre
