Dr. Tim Mighall, Reader in Palaeoecology at the Geography Department gave a talk at the Marsden Women's Institute last Wednesday.
Tim captivated the audience with his talk on 'New light on old metals: stories from bogs and bones' which outlined what we can learn from environmental archives about our past including the first industrial revolution with the advent of Bronze Age metalworking and pollution caused by the Romans and during historical times.
