On the 20th and 21 of March, the University of Aberdeen will host the 3rd workshop on Assessing Ecosystem Services from Marine Protected Areas. The project is a collaboration between the University of Aberdeen, the University of Hull and the Xiamen University China. The project is funded by the Royal Society of Edinburgh and the Chinese Academy of Natural Sciences and coordinated by Dr Tavis Potts (Aberdeen) and Dr Qinua Fang (Xiamen). The project is developing approaches to understanding and assessing the flows of ecosystem services from protected sites in the Moray Firth in comparison with site in Xiamen Bay China. This supports policy development to improve marine management and community engagement in MPAs.
