The department benefits from a range of resources and facilities, for research and teaching. Research facilities include state of the art visualisation and seismic interpretation facilities; as well as microscopy, petrophysics, palynology and geochemistry laboratories. Aberdeen is also a partner in the Scottish Universities Environmental Research Centre providing expertise and facilities in mass spectrometry, isotope and radiometric geochemistry.
Further resources for research and teaching come from the Universities Museum, which is home to several significant geological collections. You can also find links to geological teaching and outreach resources that we have developed.
