The UK and Ireland Rural Futures Network, funded by the ESRC and the Irish Research Council, brings together academics from a range of disciplines, policy makers and rural professionals from across the UK and the Republic of Ireland to develop a future research agenda and reframe future rural policy for the changing demands on rural space expected post-Brexit and post-Covid-19. Lorna Philip will co-lead one of the three workstreams, socio-political contexts, and will host a knowledge exchange visitor from another nation within the network during the lifetime of the award.
