Science and Heritage in Scotland (Standard) A one day seminar looking at science's role in understanding and preserving the past. This day long Historic Scotland event will run as part of the British Science Festival. It will highlight the importance and quality of our national heritage science output, demonstrating the close and productive work between heritage institutions, specialist university research groups, science, archaeology, museums and conservators. The speakers will be a mixture of scientists and non scientists working in the heritage field, and the event will have three themes: 1. Using science to understand the past 2. The science of historic structures 3. Science and the museum Tickets are £10 full price, £ 7 for students
