Inspiring Women - #EachForEqual

Friday 6th March 2020
King's College Conference Centre - University of Aberdeen

International Women's Day which falls on the 8th of March each year, has been celebrated across the world since the early 1900's. Originally, its aim was to provide a forum for women to campaign for equality and women’s rights. Over time, it has evolved and now in March each year, thousands of events are held throughout the world to recognise the progress that has been made, to inspire women and to celebrate their achievements.

Our event in 2020 was planned to not only inspire women, but to empower and encourage women to harness their talents and raise the profile of issues that are central to career development for female colleagues, at both a local and national level. We were delighted to welcome our terrific keynote speakers; Professor Linley Lord, Pro-Vice Chancellor and President of Curtin University Singapore, Gail Kent, Global Policy Lead at Facebook and Dr Linda Papadopoulos one of the most recognisable and well-respected psychologists working in the UK today.
