Early results from a research project funded by Wyre Borough Council. The aim is to assess the impact of a new seawall on the beach using ARGUS video images. Analysis so far shows that beach volume changes during the measurement period (end 2005 – end 2006) were small, and no scour in front of the seawall was detected. Advantages, limitations and future improvements of ARGUS for coastal management purposes will also be discussed.
