How does the law protect us after we die? How far does it respect the wishes we express while we are alive? What role do our family members play? And how should the law approach new technologies that can recreate our appearance or even our personality after we die?
Join us for our November Cafe Sci at the Sir Duncan Rice Library to explore how the law is responding to old and new questions about death, dignity and remembrance — and whose wishes should count when we’re gone.
Presented by Dr Jonathan Ainslie on behalf of the Death & Law: Interdisciplinary Explorations research project at the University of Aberdeen, with support from the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
