Part of the Scottish International Storytelling Festival Go Local Programme and the Aberdeen and Beyond Storytelling Festival
The waters of the world are physical barriers, borders separating lands and peoples. But water moves through all things; rivers run overland to the sea, rain is raised into the clouds to fall again elsewhere and oceans are highways carrying stories, language, culture and ideas.
In this artistically crafted piece, storytellers Peter Chand and Kirsten Milliken explore universal human themes, both light and dark from their respective Indian and Scottish traditions; seamlessly blending stories and song about lake nymphs, enchanted waves, hidden realms, and the waters connecting us all.
