The Interdisciplinary Institute is establishing a series of informal drop-in sessions at approximately six-week intervals in the Interdisciplinary Lounge in Crombie Halls.
The aim of these sessions is to allow any member of the University community interested in interdisciplinary research or education to meet colleagues, including the Institute’s Directors and Fellows, in an informal setting to discuss current work or future plans. Some of the sessions may be themed to act as a focus for discussion, while others will have no fixed agenda to allow open discussion of any topic.
Networking Event: Interdisciplinary Network in Media and Communication - Monday 18th November 12pm-1pm
The purpose of this networking event is to bring together scholars from across the university whose research touches on media and communication and their role in society, in the hope of enhancing the university's research collaborations and teaching offerings in this area. The event will offer an interdisciplinary forum for the discussion of the role of the media and communications from an interdisciplinary and global perspective. We hope to cultivate a discussion on the breadth of our expertise across the university and to build strategies for future research collaboration and interdisciplinary courses.

Brief presentations from scholars working on media and communication related research. Presentations are scheduled for 3-5 minutes each, intended to familiarize ourselves with the work of colleagues across the university.
