 ‘In Conversation with….’ is a series of online discussions with business leaders.  These bitesize events are aimed at providing direction, assistance and hope during these uncertain times. The events take place from 9am-9.30am (BST) on the first Wednesday of every month.

In August, John Storm, Director of Executive MBA at the University of Aberdeen Business School will meet with Graham McWilliam, Managing Director of Glencraft (Aberdeen) Ltd and Glencraft Luxury.

 

Graham and John will be discussing ‘The Royal Seal of Approval’ delving into the success of social enterprise, Glencraft, the power of celebrity endorsements including holding a Royal Warrant from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the importance of team work in building a successful business.  

 

Graham McWilliam

Graham is the Managing Director of Glencraft (Aberdeen) Ltd and Glencraft Luxury, having been appointed in early 2015.

Glencraft were awarded the accolade of the Best Social Enterprise in the UK in 2015 as part of the UK Private Business Awards and proud recipient of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise – Promoting Opportunity, 2021.

A Corporate Banker by profession, he holds a BA (Hons) in Finance and is a Fellow of the CIOBS.  He has over 35 years experience in all aspects of company management and business strategy within professional services and financial sectors.  He has operated at Board level for a number of companies and is a former MD and founding director of an HR company.

Graham was nominated for EY Entrepreneur of The Year in 2018 as recognition for the innovative changes brought to Glencraft.  Graham is also Regional Director of the Year 2019 and 2020 for Aberdeen and Grampian, recognised by the Institute of Directors (IoD) in consecutive years.  He was a finalist for Director of the Year – International, again via the IoD for 2020.
