Teaching through Chilean Textile Art.
As part of their coursework, the University of Aberdeen's Spanish and Latin American Studies students have been sewing colourful patchwork scenes depicting aspects of Chilean and Mexican history.
In the tradition of Chilean 'arpilleras', first made as a form of protest by women during Pinochet's military dictatorship, the vibrancy of these handmade tapestries contrasts with the challenging and thought-provoking histories they depict.
