The University of Aberdeen is holding a consultation period to inform its second Gaelic Language Plan and members of the public are invited to comment at a consultation meeting.
Under the Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act of 2005, public bodies were required to produce a Gaelic Language Plan to assist the national effort to secure the status of Gaelic as an official language of Scotland.
Along with the universities, of Edinburgh, Glasgow, and the Highlands & Islands, the University of Aberdeen was one of four higher education institutions required to produce a Gaelic Language Plan.
