In the last ten years there has been a significant growth in research linking administrative data across sectors, time (back to the C19th) and space. This research has often built on a strong foundation of the reuse of routine health administrative data but is now offering new methodological possibilities. In this talk I will sketch some of the exciting possibilities that are emerging for health research from this wider linkage.
