This is a past event

Are you an avid user of social media? Worried about how your data is being used? We need to talk!

Social Media platforms provide rich sources of data for researchers. Join us in a workshop exploring the ethics of using social media data in research.

We will explore questions such as: who is accessing my profile and data? What is my data being used for? When (if at all) is it ok for strangers to access and analyse my data? What can i do to prevent my data being used in this way? What can researchers learn from users of social media data about these issues?

Places are free but limited so please get in touch to reserve your space in the workshop. Refreshments will be provided.
