Resources for Schools
Dr Riley has used ‘Baggage for the Beyond’ to develop lesson resources to support upper primary (age 11: English KS2/Year 6) school religious education.
As part of exploring ‘What happens when we die’ these resources use grave goods as tools for reflection, both in an ancient context (Ancient Egypt) and in contemporary Britain.
They were trialled as a 45 minute lesson delivered concurrently to three classes (approximately 90 pupils).
These resources are free to download and adapt (but if you share them onwards, please acknowledge or cite the original authors – Jennifer Riley and Ben Riley 2025).
