With Ade Adesina, Cultural Entrepreneur in Residence
Come to a series of workshops with artist Ade Adesina where you will explore the life of a working artist.

Whether you are interested in a career in the arts, networking and project management skills, or finding out what happens in an artist's studio, these workshops are for you. There is an opportunity to assist Ade as he creates a new artwork as a decolonial response to the University's history. Open to all students and staff, and free to attend as many sessions as you wish.
***Ade Adesina RSA (b. 1980) is a Scottish-Nigerian artist based in Aberdeen. Since graduating from Gray's School
Commissioned by Aberdeen Art Gallery ofArt (2012), he has become one of Scotland's leading contemporary artists. His work is frequently decolonial, referring to the historical, political and economic relationships between Scotland and Africa through thought-provoking and accessible prints. www.adeadesina.comWorkshops will run as follows: .
- Introduction, 2pm, Wednesday 18 February (KCF7)
Meet the artist and learn about establishing a career in Aberdeen!
- The Studio, 2pm, Wednesday 18 March (KCF7)
Ade will explain the day-to-day life and project management of running a successful artist’s studio and the kinds of work that are in demand.
- The Money, 2pm, Friday 17 April (KCF7)
Learn about budgeting, pricing and selling art whether on commission or for a project brief.
- Collaboration, Wednesday 13 May (Peacock)
How to develop contacts and how to successfully network across cultural venues.
- Friday 26 June (Exhibition visit to Edinburgh RSA) Join Ade for a behind-the-scenes tour of his RSA exhibition
- Friday 3 July TBC (on campus). Celebrate a new artwork as the culmination of this fellowship.
