CHERI Director Prof Jen Cleland has had an extremely busy month, mostly spent in Australia and New Zealand.
Jen, Kirsty and Maeve had a flying stopover in Perth, to visit Curtin University, where Jen gave a talk on selection into medical school. They then flew to Melbourne for the Selection for the Healthcare Professions Conference, 11-13th April 2018, where Jen was an invited keynote, and many other members of CHERI also presented their work. Jen stayed on in Melbourne as a Visiting Professor at Monash Institute of Health and Clinical Education (MIHCE), Monash University. During this time, she and Duncan gave a workshop at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS). She nipped up to Canberra to give a talk on selection and widening access, then went to a conference in Queenstown, New Zealand, where the focus was workforce planning. Finally she visited colleagues at the University of Auckland to speak on longitudinal medical careers tracking.
There were many notable moments in this trip but we’ve not found a good photo of any of them!
