The below contains information about key dates for United Kingdom and overseas applicants for our undergraduate programmes.
Please remember to complete all required steps as soon as possible. Don’t wait until the date listed below to complete a step! If you have any questions about your application, please email Undergraduate Admissions.
I am a prospective student from the UK or Republic of Ireland

Apply via UCAS by 25 January 2023 (equal consideration deadline). Some degrees will still be accepting applications after this date, so do check on UCAS to see what might still be open for application.

Receive your decision (Unconditional, Conditional or Unsuccessful): you will receive a decision from the University by Thursday 18 May at the latest, though we will hope to have all decisions made by the end of March. Keep an eye on your UCAS Hub account and your emails!

Attend our on-campus Offer Holder Day on Wednesday 26 April. Once you receive an offer from Aberdeen, you will be sent an email with information on how to book your place for this event. It is for all degree subjects except Medicine and Primary Education.

Make Aberdeen your Firm Choice. If you have received all of your university offers on UCAS Hub by Thursday 18 May, then you will need to make your decision on UCAS Hub by Thursday 8 June.

Exam Results Day – Good luck! SQA Results Day is Tuesday 8 August and A Level Results Day is Thursday 17 August. Remember, if things don’t go as expected, do call our Clearing Hotline to talk through your possible options with our friendly Clearing Team.

Welcome Week (Freshers) starts Monday 11 September and teaching starts Monday 18 September. See you then!

Accept & send all required documents to the Admissions Team. If your offer was conditional on sending your results then please do this as soon as possible to ugadmissions@abdn.ac.uk. You also need to return to the Admissions Team the Financial Guarantee document (no CAS can be issued without this).

Once you have a Student ID you need to set up your IT account and complete multi-factor authentication from 18 August.

You need to complete online registration from 18 August.

Welcome Week starts on 11 September. Welcome Week is all about helping you settle in and prepare for your academic and non-academic university life.

Teaching starts on 18 September.

The last date you can register for your undergraduate programme is 2 October. Please note that you must be in Aberdeen, registered and ready to begin your studies in person by this date. We will not permit students to begin their studies online and will not permit you to register after this date.
