2022 Entry Applicant Information Evenings

Well done on completing your application to study at the University of Aberdeen. You may have attended an online virtual Open Day or visited campus during one of our visit days. Our Applicant Information Evenings are the next step in the journey. Some students attending will have received their offer, but many will still be waiting to hear from us through UCAS. This event is for everyone who has applied whether they have heard back yet or not.

What is the event about?

At each evening event you will learn more about your next steps if you are successful in getting a place at university. This will include information about student finance, accommodation, university life and student support. The event will involve a short presentation followed by the opportunity to ask any questions you or your parents/guardians may have. Each event is the same so you only need to attend once.

We won't be able to give any updates on applications at these events but it's a great opportunity to get prepared before hopefully starting in September 2022.

Please note these events are only for Undergraduate applicants. Book your place here.

A schedule of the events can be found below. Please choose a date that is suitable for you and is relevant to where you are living. The student finance section of the event will vary depending on who the event is listed for.

On Campus Sessions

We are hoping to host two of our sessions in-person on campus. Please note that these will be in line with Scottish Government Covid-19 Guidance at the time and will be kept under constant review. If the on campus event is not possible a virtual event will replace it.

For in-person events, attendance will be capped to the applicant and two guests. Parents, guardians and carers are encouraged to attend along with applicants.

When you complete the registration form you will receive a booking confirmation email. Two days before the event you will also receive a reminder email. When you arrive on campus a member of staff will check you in.

Students from England, Wales, NI and ROI are welcome to attend the on campus events if you will be in Aberdeen on those dates. However, the student finance will only be relevant to Scottish applicants. You are welcome to speak separately to a member of our team about student finance if you visit.

Virtual sessions

For virtual events only the applicant needs to register and parents/guardians can view the session online alongside their child. When you complete the registration form you will receive a booking confirmation email. Two days before the event you will also receive a reminder email, and 30 mins before the session you will receive an email to allow you to check in. You can access the event web-link 30 minutes before the session and join the event from 6:15pm.

Note: we are using a third party system, Gecko, to manage registrations. We recommend that you familiarise yourself with their privacy policy. Please be aware that the booking form functions most effectively on Chrome or Firefox browsers.
