Aberdeen Global Scholarship

The Aberdeen Global Scholarship is a £2,000 tuition fee discount open to eligible self-funded international Masters students from all around the world.

Indian students are eligible for a further £3,000 reduction in tuition fees, meaning there is a total of £5,000 available.

Your scholarship will be awarded as tuition fee discount and the value of the scholarship will be included in your CAS letter.

Carnegie Trust - Undergraduate Fee Grants

The Carnegie Trust is awarding up to £1820 for the cost of tuition fees for Undergraduates, educated in Scotland and from a low-income background.

Aberdeen Alumni Discount

20% discount is available for University of Aberdeen graduates on the full cost of a taught graduate programme and one year of a full-time research programme (two years for part time). Applies to a number of taught postgraduate programmes or first year of a full time research programme.


Aberdeen Formation Evaluation Society (AFES) Bursaries

AFES offers bursaries to MSc students and partial PhD funding to support education in the areas of petrophysics and formation evaluation.


CB Davidson Fund

The CB Davidson fund provides limited financial support for Postgraduate students within the School of Law.


University of Aberdeen staff discount for online short courses

The University of Aberdeen is pleased to offer a 10% discount on the full cost of an online short course for University of Aberdeen staff.

Carlaw-Ogston Master of Music Scholarship

The Carlaw-Ogston Master of Music Scholarship is available for students undertaking a full-time 12 months Master of Music (MMus) postgraduate degree at the University of Aberdeen, beginning in the academic year 2022-23.

NHS Staff Discount

The University of Aberdeen NHS discount is a 10% discount offered to all NHS staff. It applies to:

  • postgraduate degrees and short courses offered by our School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition (online and on-campus)
  • postgraduate degrees and short courses offered by our School of Psychology (online and on-campus)
  • our online ILM leadership short courses

MSc Sustainability Transitions is one of the programmes approved by the Scottish Aquaculture Innovation Centre (SAIC) who offers funding opportunities for students interested in the sustainability of Scottish aquaculture.
