ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
In many cases, in place of a formal English test such as IELTS, Ghanaian students can submit a copy of their WAEC Year XII English score provided the score was at least C6.

Undergraduate - West African Senior Secondary School Certificate
Students who have achieved at least one “A” and two “Bs” in the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate can apply for direct entry to Year 1 for all programmes except Medicine. Some Programmes also have individual subject requirements -
Science: English, Maths and Science OR
English and 2 x science subjects.
Law, Arts and Social Sciences : English
Engineering: English, Maths and Physics (Chemistry also required for Chemical and Petroleum Engineering)
Medicine: GCE A-levels, International Baccalaureate or Scottish Highers required.
Students who are not eligible to apply for direct entry to Year 1 can apply for our Foundation Course which is offered on campus in our International Study Centre.
Postgraduate: A score of 60-70% or 3.0-3.49 from a well ranked public institution is considered comparable to a UK 2.1, while a score of 50-59% or 2.5-2.99 is considered comparable to a UK 2.2.
