Tuition fees for EU students starting in 2019 and 2020

The Scottish Government has confirmed the tuition fees in Scotland for EU students enrolling in the 2019 and 2020 academic years. Students will be admitted as Scottish/EU fee status students, will retain that status for the duration of their studies, and are eligible for tuition fee support from the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS). Please visit the SAAS website for more information: www.saas.gov.uk.

Jim Duncan Scholarships

There are two Jim Duncan Scholarships available. They are open to applicants who have decided to go to the University of Aberdeen to undertake an undergraduate degree starting in September 2020 after having had a break in their education, or who are resuming their undergraduate studies at the University after an interruption, and require financial assistance.

Aberdeen Alumni Discount

20% discount is available for University of Aberdeen graduates on the full cost of a taught postgraduate programme and one year of a full time research programme (two years for part time). Applies to a number of taught postgraduate programmes or first year of a full time research programme.


CB Davidson Fund

The CB Davidson fund provides limited financial support for Postgraduate students within the School of Law.

James Carnegie Scholarship

There is one James Carnegie Scholarship available. The scholarship will provide £2,000 per annum towards the students' maintenance costs for the duration of the postgraduate degree course, whether that is a one year Masters, PhD (3 years) or Master by Research leading to a PhD (4 years).

BP MSc Petroleum Data Management Scholarship

BP is offering one scholarship worth £14,500 to a Home/UK/EU student commencing the full time Petroleum Data Management MSc programme in September 2019.

ELCAS Enhanced Learning Credits

MOD's Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (ELC) promotes lifelong learning amongst members of the Armed Forces.


Postgraduate Tuition Fee and Living Cost Loan 2019-20 (SAAS) (Scotland and EU)

Scottish-domiciled students undertaking a one year full time eligible taught postgraduate course will be able to access, via SAAS, a loan of up to £10,000 - comprising £5,500 for fees and £4,500 for living costs for study.

The Remmes & Martin Award offers a student on the 2020-2021 Masters of Public Health (MPH) programme an award of £2000 to part fund their studies.

There is one University of Aberdeen Law School Natural Resources Law Scholarship available. It offers £5,500 towards full time Home/EU, RUK or Overseas tuition fees for one year.

T.F. Torrance Awards

Thanks to a generous donation from the Very Reverend Professor Iain Torrance, the University of Aberdeen is pleased to offer the T.F. Torrance Scholarships. The scholarships support promising doctoral students studying on a full-time, residential basis at the University of Aberdeen in the fields of Systematic and Historical Theology, Pastoral Theology, Theological Ethics and Biblical Studies.

Commonwealth Scholarships

Commonwealth Scholarships are awarded to students from countries of the British Commonwealth. Applications should be made to the Commonwealth Scholarship Agency in the student's own country.
