Ever wonder what the next steps toward gaining qualification to practise law are like once you complete your LLB with us?

Two of our recent Accelerated LLB grads who are now working in Canada and Scotland are very kindly offering to share their experiences and insights with us in an informal session on Wed, 27 March, 1 pm in Taylor Building C 49. This will be a live event so we can all gather in person, while the presenters will appear on screen. The presenters will also be very happy to answer any questions you may have. If that is your lunch time, please feel free to bring your lunch. We will have tea and juice to complement your meal.

The presenters are (in alphabetical order by surname):• Alex CF Leung is a trainee solicitor currently in his second-year property seat in an Edinburgh firm. He is also a reserve officer in the British Army slowly turning his reserve commission into a full commission for the legal officer position. Although he very much enjoyed his time in Aberdeen, he moved to Edinburgh for his diploma. He will be sharing with you his multitasking journey and some behind-the-scenes stories should you be interested in something slightly off the beaten track.

• Jonathan Loucadellis is a lawyer from Toronto. Following the completion of his LLB degree at the University of Aberdeen, he returned to his native Canada and undertook the NCA examinations. Subsequently, he pursued the Barrister and Solicitor examinations and participated in the Law Practice Program to satisfy the prerequisites for admission to the Law Society of Ontario. During his placement, he specialized solely in family law, a field in which he continues to practise since being called to the Bar in June of 2023. We are very much looking forward to seeing you at the event! If you have any questions about it, please e-mail c.w.ng@abdn.ac.uk.
