SPE Offshore Europe 2023

The University of Aberdeen exhibited at the SPE Offshore Europe conference held at the P&J Live in Aberdeen from 5th-8th September. The theme for this year’s conference was ‘accelerating the transition to a better energy future' and we were there to showcase our world-leading research as part of the main conference programme with expert sessions on digitalisation and AI, critical materials, late-life assets, hydrogen storage and offshore wind.

Lunchtime Talks

In addition to the main conference programme, we hosted a series of short lunchtime talks on the University of Aberdeen stand (2E68) that were open to all attendees and covered a wide range of topics related to energy transition as well as upskilling opportunities. See below for further details.

The National Decommissioning Centre also exhibited in the Innovation and Digital Zone and hosted an evening panel session on ‘Energy Integration: Competition, Consensus and Collaboration’ at its facility in Newburgh.

Conference Sessions

Staff and Postgraduate students from the School of Engineering will be presenting their research projects as part of Offshore Europe's Technical Programme. All sessions are open to all conference attendees.
