Outreach Workshop - Dr Lizzie Driscoll "Introduction and practice of science communication and outreach"

In addition to an ACES seminar, Dr Elizabeth (Lizzie) Driscoll from the University of Birmingham will be running an outreach and engagement workshop titled "Introduction and practice of science communication and outreach". This workshop will run from 11:00-13:00 on 6^th July in St Mary's G15. Lizzie has extensive experience in planning and running successful outreach activities including "The Building Blocks of Energy Technology", using Jenga to explain the science behind rechargeable batteries. Lizzie will be sharing some helpful information on science communication and public engagement in this workshop. While this workshop is being hosted by ACES it will be useful to all researchers, particularly those looking to find out more information on outreach and engagement activities. There is no pressure to attend both the seminar and the workshop so please feel free to attend either/both. Please feel free to pass this invite onto any colleagues who may be interested.
