Biography
Santiago Joined HERU as a Research Assistant in October 2023. He is working on stated preferences projects related to lockdown and dental care interventions. Prior to HERU, he was doing a placement with the NHS North East London assessing the impact of completing primary care processes on glycaemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes. Also, he worked as a consultant in public health related projects at the Inter-American Development Bank, Ministry of Health, and the Superintendence of industry in Colombia.
Santiago completed an MSc in Health Economics from the University of York, and graduated as an economist from Universidad de Antioquia, where he was acknowledged for his thesis on biofuels policy in Colombia.
