Professional body established to promote best practice standards in environmental management, auditing and assessment. Also advertises environmental jobs.

Government Agency charged with environmental protections and conservation in England and Wales. Find out about current development, policies and jobs with one of the biggest employers in the sector.

Institution of Environmental Sciences

Charitable organisation which promotes and raises public awareness of environmental science. Their website has details of vacancies in the environmental sector and information about their volunteering scheme.

British Hydrological Society

Membership organisation for those with an interest in the inter-disciplinary subject of hydrology. Website includes section on careers, training and events.

NatureNet

Website for those interested in the countryside, its management, and nature conservation. It has very useful Careers and Training sections providing advice on pursuing a career in this area and where to study.

Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH)

Charity working to secure the conservation and enhancement of Scotland's natural heritage. Website includes current vacancies and volunteering opportunities.
