Work shadowing opportunities exclusive for University of Aberdeen students

The University provides a range of work shadowing opportunities for students throughout the year. Shadowing opportunities are generally for one day during a specified week in agreement with the business/organisation. Shadowing opportunities may be available during the semester or during vacations. Shadowing opportunities will normally be in-person but may be offered online.

Live opportunities

Would you like to experience the day-to-day workings of a real estate company, public sector organisation or law firm and boost your CV? We are pleased to launch a one-day work shadowing partnership with local organisations.

The scheme is open to current students (later year students and those without a traineeship in law will be prioritised). You will get the opportunity to spend a day in March shadowing experienced professionals working for the kind of organisation you might be interested in. Closing date for applications is 16 February 2025.

Make sure you update your CV. You will also be expected to explain why you are interested in the opportunity. The Careers and Employability Service can offer feedback on your applications before you apply. Find out more about booking appointments.
