Colfuturo

 

Colfuturo is a scholarship-loan made available to Colombian students intending to study overseas at postgraduate level.

Colfuturo will grant a loan equivalent of up to 25,000 USD per year for a maximum of two years' study to successful applicants, to aid in the cost of their tuition fees.

Eligibility

All applicants for Colfuturo should already hold a conditional or unconditional offer from the University of Aberdeen before applying:

If you are successful in obtaining Colfuturo, you should notify our Postgraduate Admissions team at the earliest opportunity so that the appropriate information can be reflected in your CAS document for Tier 4 visa purposes. Please contact pgadmissions@abdn.ac.uk, providing a copy of your funding confirmation letter.

International Undergraduate Scholarship

As part of our commitment to attracting the very best students to join our diverse international community, we are delighted to offer the University of Aberdeen International Undergraduate Scholarship. This scholarship is worth one year’s tuition fee and is open to all international undergraduate students studying for 4 years or more at the University of Aberdeen (excludes Medicine). 

What does this mean?

  • If you are an international student entering into an undergraduate degree programme of at least four years duration we will offer you a scholarship equivalent to the tuition fee for your fourth year (excludes medicine)

Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. Applications are invited for the Arnold Klopper Scholarship for 2018/19 which is valued at up to £1,000.

Arthur L McCombie Bursary

The Arthur L McCombie Bursary is available for the 2018/19 academic year. It is awarded at £3,000 per annum during the student's penultimate and/or final year of the Undergraduate degree at Honours level (usually third and/or fourth year of studies) and will be awarded up to a maximum of two years.

This scholarship offers £2,000 for university students working towards a relevant qualification.

James Carnegie Scholarship

There is one James Carnegie Scholarship available. The scholarship will provide £2,000 per annum towards the students' maintenance costs for the duration of the postgraduate degree course, whether that is a one year Masters, PhD (3 years) or Master by Research leading to a PhD (4 years).

John Reid Trust Scheme 1959

The Trust exists to assist distinguished Aberdeen University graduates, preferably with Honours, and preferably in Arts, which failing, in Science, to continue their studies in Arts or in any other branches of higher learning at any institution outside Scotland.

T.F. Torrance Awards

Thanks to a generous donation from the Very Reverend Dr Iain Torrance, the University of Aberdeen is pleased to offer the T.F. Torrance Scholarships. The scholarships support promising doctoral students studying on a full-time, residential basis at the University of Aberdeen in the fields of Systematic and Historical Theology, Pastoral Theology, Theological Ethics and Biblical Studies.

Carnegie/Caledonian Scholarships are prestigious schemes of scholarships designed to support a limited number of graduates with first class honours degrees who will pursue three years of postgraduate research leading to a PhD at a Scottish university. There is no restriction on the subject or field.
