How Long Can I Apply to Stay For?
If you have received your Student Visa, you can arrive in the UK before your course starts:
- up to 1 week before, if your course lasts 6 months or less
- up to 1 month before, if your course lasts more than 6 months
How long you can stay depends on the kind of course you are doing and what study you have already completed. Currently, for students coming to the UK to study for 12 months or longer this is normally 4 months at the end of your programme, for those coming for less than 6 months this is normally 7 days.
