Undergraduate: Students who hold the Certificado de fim de Estudos Secundários (previously Certidão do 12 Ano) with scores of 17-18 will be considered for entrance to undergraduate programmes. Alternatively, A Levels, IB, American, and European education systems are also considered.
Arts and Social Sciences: Overall 18
Science: A minimum average of 18 with grades 18 or more in each of two specific science subjects.
Engineering: A minimum average grade of 18 with grades of 18 or more in Maths and Physics.

Postgraduate: 4-year Licenciado is deemed equivalent to a UK bachelors degree. A score of 15/20 from a well ranked public institution is considered comparable to a UK 2.1 while a score of 13-14/20 is considered comparable to a UK 2.2.
For Business School PGT programmes the minimum entry requirement is an undergraduate degree at UK Honours level (or a degree from a non-UK institution which is judged by the University to be of equivalent worth).
