The University of Aberdeen is delighted to offer the Aberdeen Global Undergraduate Scholarship to European Union (EU) students. This is an £8,000 tuition fee discount available to eligible self-funded Undergraduate students who would have previously been eligible for Home (Scottish/EU) fee status but, because of Brexit, will now be classified as International students for entry from September 2021. This scholarship is being introduced on a transitional basis, to help to mitigate the immediate impact of Brexit on our EU student community.
The scholarship is open to self-funded full-time on campus EU International fees students registering for on-campus programmes, who don’t receive either an externally funded scholarship or any other University of Aberdeen scholarships (excluding awards made by the University of Aberdeen Development Trust).
This scholarship is being introduced on a transitional basis, to help to mitigate the immediate effects of Brexit on our EU student community, and will be available to those who commence their studies in 2021/22 and 2022/2023. It will apply for the full duration of your studies.
The scholarship is not available to students studying Medicine.
Please note that you do not need to apply separately for this scholarship. Your application for study will be automatically checked for eligibility for the scholarship when you apply. All eligible students will receive the scholarship as a fee discount, and your scholarship will be included in your Offer on UCAS and in your Certificate of Acceptance to Study (CAS) letter for your visa.
There is no deadline as no application is required for this scholarship, beyond the normal applications deadlines for international students. However, please check that you have firmly accepted an unconditional offer of study with us and that you have sent us confirmation of your self-funding arrangements.
We look forward to welcoming you to Aberdeen.
No deadline specified
