Alongside a great emphasis on practical language skills, the German programme teaches courses dealing with social, historical and cultural aspects of the German-speaking countries.You will encounter the world of German artistic expression in the form of literature, film and art, and you will gain a deeper understanding of Germany’s complex history. To assist in this endeavour, each year the German Drama Group offers a brilliant opportunity for students of German to meet German students studying in Aberdeen, have a lot of fun helping to produce a play if so inclined, and put their widening language skills to the test.
