The autumn 2021 Biblical Studies Research Seminar series will meet on Wednesdays, 15:30–17:00. Please see the attached schedule for all details.

This seminar brings together researchers in Old Testament / Hebrew Bible, Second Temple Judaism, and New Testament. Our schedule includes invited papers and a series of discussions around readings that explore ancient scriptural interpretation and literary production. For discussion, our main text is Eva Mroczek’s The Literary Imagination in Jewish Antiquity. Mroczek’s book is also paired with readings from other thinkers with whom she interacts. For further details and access to the readings, see this reading list.

The Divinity Library can accommodate only 20 due to Covid restrictions. Those who would like to attend in person should be prepared to do so for the entire term. The seminar will also be streamed live via MS Teams. If you would like to attend in either mode, please complete this form.
