This month John Gash, Senior Lecturer in History of Art, will be speaking at two events being held at the National Gallery in London, in association with its current major exhibition, Beyond Caravaggio. On 17 November, John will present a paper, "Caravaggesque Paintings in Britain and Ireland: Curiosities and Conundrums", as part of a two-day academic conference in the Sainsbury Wing Lecture Theatre. He will also give a lunchtime talk on Monday 21 November which will discuss the 'Judith and Holofernes' theme in works by the followers of Caravaggio.
